Welcome to my brand new website!

Welcome to my brand new website!

Well this is exciting isn’t it?

I finally did it and got my own website. I’m nervous, happy but most of all excited to show you all the products that I have made.

About me:

I’m Lisa, but my friends call me Mac. Born, raised and living in Bristol, UK. I’ve tried pretty much everything art form / craft over the years but in 2022 I picked up my first embroidery hoop and everything changed. I’d found the art form for me. Embroidery is mindful, it’s transportable and it’s rewarding. You can sit down at home or anywhere else for that matter and lose yourself amongst the stitches, that sounds so cliche but it is very true. When it is finished, you have a piece of art that you have created by hand, that took time - and maybe a little patience - to cherish.

Over the past 4 years I’ve attended many markets along side extremely talented makers, I’ve commissioned embroidery pieces for birth announcements, wedding anniversaries and memorial hoops. People have purchased my hoops for gifts and for their own home decor. It really is the best feeling knowing that someone likes your work enough to have it displayed in their home or to gift to someone special.

I am a big lover of all things country and western and have a collection dedicated to that as I found it hard to find homeware pieces for my own space so decided to make my own and now I get to share them with you.

About my work:

Everything you see is done by hand, from the initial design sketch to the embroidery itself. I’m a one woman show and proud of it!

I stitch using top quality threads and materials and each stitch is done with care and intent. My hoops are backed in felt to protect the stitches and are sent in cloth bags to reduce plastic waste and they are reusable.

I also offer custom pieces. These are one of a kind originals, which we will work on together to ensure it is exactly what you want.

I’m so excited to keep adding new products to my shop and hope you’ll keep an eye on my instagram embroidery_by_mac  for updates and behind the scenes.
